About the Jeweler

Hi, I'm Abby

I handcraft every piece of Abigail Leaventon Jewelry from my Savannah studio, drawing inspiration from the flowers, places, and memories that shape our lives.

Each collection begins with a single source of inspiration and is brought to life through a blend of traditional craftsmanship and thoughtful modern design.

My Story

I discovered metalsmithing in high school and immediately knew I had found something special. I loved that every piece required patience, problem solving, and attention to detail, and I was fascinated by how a flat sheet of metal could become something beautiful enough to be worn every day.

That passion led me to earn my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry from the Savannah College of Art and Design. After graduating, I had the opportunity to work alongside several talented Savannah jewelers, including my longtime mentor, Kristen Baird, where I continued developing both my technical skills and my appreciation for thoughtful craftsmanship.

Today, I create each piece of Abigail Leaventon Jewelry using a combination of traditional metalsmithing techniques, chasing and repousse, granulation, lost-wax casting, CAD modeling, and stone setting. In 2025, I completed the Comprehensive Stone Setting program at the New Approach School for Jewelers, and in 2026, I was honored to be named a finalist for the Halstead Grant, one of the jewelry industry's leading grants for emerging small jewelry businesses.

Every collection begins with something that has inspired me, whether it's a flower I've stopped to admire, a place I've traveled, or a memory I never want to forget. My hope is that when someone wears one of my pieces, it becomes part of their own story.

Beyond the Bench

When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me with a coffee in hand, sketching while I travel, or learning something new in my garden. Those quiet moments often become the inspiration behind my collections, reminding me that the best ideas usually come from simply paying attention.
